Additional detailed instructions/directions will be sent to you before your stay. (Please be aware that many of the roads in St Ives are very narrow )

Parking is sometimes available in Norway square just outside the apartment (for up to 6 cars on a first come first serve basis).

If no spaces are available, we recommend that you drop off your luggage there before going to one of the many car parks.

St Ives has a number of car parks but unfortunately parking spaces are at a premium during the peak season (the best times to access them are either early or later in the day).

Our advice is to get the car into there as soon as possible after arrival (you may have to wait for a space at busy times) and buy a weekly ticket for about £33. This ticket is then valid in all Cornwall Council long-stay car parks in St Ives.

The nearest car parks that offer long-stay are :-

The Island car park

Barnoon (which is behind the Tate Gallery)

Both are just a few minutes walk from the apartment.

Then a bit further afield there's the :-

Station Car park (situated overlooking Porthminster Beach)

Park Avenue (the car park up the hill)

Trenwith (Leisure centre/top of the town - the largest of the car parks)

Many of the others only offer short stay.  Please note that  the car park behind the Sloop Inn is only short stay also.

Car Parking Tickets :-

Visitors can purchase 24hr, 3day and weekly tickets from the pay and display machines anytime or from the attendants on duty at the Island or Trenwith Car Parks (Easter to late October 9am to 9pm).

The pay and display machines take all coins from 5p to £2.

Alterntively visitors can use the RingGo system to pay via a Mobile Phone. These tickets cover individual Car Parks only.
